Participants can attend the individual conference with Holly for 7 hours AND add on the optional book study for 8 hours as an opportunity for one graduate credit.

Holly Ehle -

We are so happy to welcome Holly to North Dakota!

Holly is an Assistant Professor of Education at Huntington University in Indiana. She is currently finishing up her dissertation work for her Ph.D. in Reading, Language, and Literacy with a specialization in the Science of Reading and an additional certification in cognitive neuroscience. She admits to LOVE research and would even consider herself a "nerd."

 

Holly serves on The Reading League of Indiana's Board of Directors and serves as a National SOR Presenter for Elevate Your Classroom Educational Conference. She loves working with both classroom teachers and  pre-service teachers as they make the shift to SOR aligned instruction.

2) Heart Words! How to Most Effectively Teach High Frequency Words

3) Goodbye Guided Reading! Hello Small Skill Groups!

Registration & Credit option:

Step 1) Use our on-line registration through PayPal to register for the conference. You will be all set for our 2024 Fall Conference.

*Conference Only = $70

 

Step 2) If interested in PD credit, the credit registration will be available once you arrive in Mandan. Please click the link below to see the approved syllabus through VCSU. Look through the syllabus to see if you want to move forward with the book study to earn enough hours for credit.

*Credit Fee through VCSU = $50

Step 3) The PD credit will be using the book "7 Mighty Moves" by Lindsay Kemeny as our required resource. Please click one of the links below to order your book if you are participating in book study.

Book Study assignments will start being posted after the face-to-face conference on October 5th.

Cost Break-down:

     Face to Face Conference = $70

     Grad Credit = $50

     Book = approx. $30

Notes:

The Graduate PD Credit through VCSU will show up on your ND University System (NDUS) transcript when completed at the end of the Fall 2024 Semester.

The conference registration fee of $70 goes to the NDKA organization. This fee encompasses our keynote speaker cost, conference food, and organization costs.

 

The fee for Graduate Credit of $50 goes to Valley City State University and is a pre-set fee for all universities.
