2023 Keynote...
Matt Halpern -
https://www.matthalperneducation.com/
Last year (2022 Fall Conference) we had Deedee Wills as our keynote speaker in Minot, North Dakota. She highly recommended Matt Halpern to us as a future keynote speaker for our NDKA Conference. We reached out without hesitating.
Matt is a joyful educator who draws on almost two decades of experience as a classroom teacher and literacy coach. He is passionate about making classrooms child-centered and putting the effort and work of students at the forefront. His love for teaching social-emotional skills and literacy often combine as he is always looking for new ways to help others become the best versions of themselves. A fierce advocate for social justice and equity in classrooms, Matt leverages the power of literacy and community to empower children. Matt is the author of A Teacher's Guide to Interactive Writing and lives in Portland, ME where he writes, consults, presents, and teaches. He primarily supports teachers in primary literacy and social-emotional learning. You can find more information about Matt at
